WHAT IS PRACTICEPATH?

The support you need.
The evidence in one place.

From finding a supervisor to preparing for your next review, get a clearer view of your progress.

01 / CONNECT

Find your DPP support

Pharmacists can explore participating DPP profiles by location and clinical area and send an enquiry. Nurses and pharmacists can invite a DPP or assessor they already know. Connecting through the platform is free.

Availability and suitability are agreed with the DPP. Any supervision fees are separate.
02 / RECORD

Build your portfolio

Keep practice sessions, hours and reflective logs together. Link your evidence to prescribing competencies and see where more evidence is needed.

03 / REVIEW

Move forward together

Submit work to your linked DPP or assessor, receive feedback and keep a record of their decisions. Export your evidence when you need it.

FOR DPPS & ASSESSORS

Less back-and-forth.
A clearer view of your learners.

Invite learners, see submitted work in one review queue, and record feedback and sign-off in the same place.

BUILT FROM EXPERIENCE

Finding support shouldn’t be the hardest part.

PracticePath grew from a pharmacist’s experience of finding a DPP and navigating independent prescribing training. We’re building a simpler way to connect, learn and keep track.

Our story

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

A clear start.

Already have an account? Sign in here ↗

Who can join?

UK registered nurses and pharmacists, and suitable DPPs / assessors. Learners register with an NMC PIN or GPhC number; email confirmation and a professional registration check are required. You can register before starting a course.

Is PracticePath free?

Access for learners and DPPs is free throughout the pilot, and connecting through the platform is free. We intend to introduce platform fees in the future, with pricing and terms explained before you choose any paid service. No paid subscription starts automatically. DPP supervision may carry a separate fee agreed directly with the DPP.

Does this replace my university portfolio?

PracticePath supports organising and reviewing your evidence. Follow your university’s requirements and check which exports or records it accepts. PracticePath does not award a prescribing qualification or replace university-appointed assessors. RPS prescribing competencies support both professions; GPhC IP outcomes apply to pharmacists only.

Can I join if I haven’t found a DPP?

Yes. Registered pharmacists with approved accounts can explore participating DPPs and send enquiries. Nurses can register and invite their own DPP or assessor. A match or placement is not guaranteed. Learners and DPPs agree suitability and supervision arrangements before working together.

What about universities and my evidence?

University staff can apply for organisation access. Learner evidence is shared only through the approved university and cohort process with learner consent. Keep patient information fully anonymised when recording clinical learning.
